That Way Bound

I was this way bound
on the expressway
when it seemed everyone
was that way bound
at the end of holidays

relieved to be going home
from the place
they no longer call home
the place where the people
they love but don’t like live

back to home
back to work
back to a university
where someone has
put a price on thought
back back and back again
that way bound
